Welcome to the our home on the Internet where you will find the latest news and information about the Superior Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.
The Council of Catholic Women is about being involved with a group of faith filled women, who live out their Catholic faith and values through action. It is about a group of women united for the purpose of building God’s kingdom on this earth.
In 1950, the late Albert Cardinal Meyer, then Bishop of Superior encouraged the women’s parish societies within the Diocese of Superior to align themselves with the National Council of Catholic Women. It was his intention that the women of the Diocese of Superior become more actively involved in the work of the Church on a broader scale. Through association with the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) , we are assisting women all over the world to have a better life.
The Campaign for Human Dignity program CampaignforHumanDignityManual developed by NCCW a number of years ago gives us a basis for planning our own programs that hold all human life as sacred. The dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society. This belief is the foundation of all the principals of Catholic Social Teaching.
