I am honored yet humbled to serve as your Province Director these next two years.
A little about me: John & I have been married for 52 years and we have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. I am a retired RN.
With John’s job we were transferred quite often and lived in 4 states, 6 cities and of course several different dioceses. We learned to adapt to change.
When John retired we moved back to Wisconsin to be near family. We currently live in Berlin in the Madison Diocese
I first joined CCW about 18 years ago when the kids were grown and I was only working part time (keep this category of women in mind when recruiting members as they have a little extra time). First I became involved at the local level, then the vicariate, and of course then the diocesan – and here I am.
Serving those in need has always been an interest of mine – hence nursing. We have been on 6 mission trips to Panama to help build a dam to provide safe drinking water for the people.
My first NCCW convention was in Columbus, OH, when Mathew Kelly was keynote speaker and Susan Conroy was luncheon speaker. Wow! I thought, “I want to be part of this organization!”
CCW has helped me grow spiritually as well as to focus on others and connect with sisters in faith. It encourages me to put my faith into action.
This organization makes me a better Catholic, a better person, wife, mother, daughter and friend.
I look forward to working with all of you these next 2 years.
Blessings to all of you,
Milwaukee Province Director
